The town of Gardone Val Trompia lies in the province of Brescia, about 11 miles from the town of Brescia. The municipal territory covers an area of about 10 square miles at an elevation ranging from 988 to 4564 feet above sea level, and borders on the municipalities of Marcheno, Sarezzo, Polaveno, Sale Marasino, and Marone. The modern part of Gardone is located on the right bank of the Mella river, and the old downtown is located on the western side of the valley. To reach Gardone Val Trompia, take the A4 toll road and exit at west Brescia. From there, take route 345, which is also known as the “Tre valli" highway, proceeding in the direction of Bovegno and Collio.
